1. Agreement to terms

These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Vault(the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service, you agree to be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. Accounts & eligibility

• You must provide accurate information and maintain the security of your account.
• You are responsible for all activity that occurs under your credentials.
• You must be of legal age to form a binding contract in your jurisdiction.

3. Acceptable use

• Do not attempt to probe, scan, or test the vulnerability of systems without authorization.
• Do not misuse the Service to store illegal content or violate others’ rights.
• Follow all applicable laws and export controls.

4. Customer data & secrets

You retain all rights to your data and secret materials. You grant us a limited license to process such data solely to provide and secure the Service. You are responsible for configuring access controls, key rotation, and retention policies appropriate for your use case.

5. Intellectual property

The Service, including software, documentation, branding, and content, is owned by Ajmal Shahabudeen or licensors. No rights are granted except as expressly stated in these Terms.

6. Beta features

We may offer pre-release features labeled as beta or preview. Such features are provided "as is" without warranties and may be modified or discontinued at any time.

7. Fees & payment (if applicable)

If you subscribe to a paid plan, you agree to pay all applicable fees and taxes. Fees are non-refundable except as required by law or as stated in a separate order form. We may change pricing with prior notice for future billing cycles.

8. Service availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee uninterrupted or error-free operation. Scheduled maintenance and emergency downtime may occur.

9. Warranties & disclaimers

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED ON AN "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" BASIS WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, IN NO EVENT WILL WE BE LIABLE FOR INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF PROFITS, REVENUE, DATA, OR USE, EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY. OUR AGGREGATE LIABILITY RELATING TO THE SERVICE WILL NOT EXCEED THE AMOUNTS PAID BY YOU TO US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE TWELVE (12) MONTHS PRECEDING THE CLAIM.

11. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless Ajmal Shahabudeen and affiliates from any claims, damages, liabilities, and expenses arising from your use of the Service or violation of these Terms.

12. Term & termination

We may suspend or terminate access if you violate these Terms. You may stop using the Service at any time. Certain provisions survive termination, including ownership, disclaimers, limitations of liability, and indemnity.

13. Changes to terms

We may modify these Terms from time to time. Changes are effective when posted with an updated effective date. Your continued use constitutes acceptance of the changes.

14. Governing law & disputes

These Terms will be governed by applicable law in your primary place of business or another specified jurisdiction in an order form, without regard to conflict of law principles. Disputes will be resolved in the courts of that jurisdiction unless the parties agree to arbitration.
